CHS students Place First in JAG Competition, Head to Nationals in Spring

Central's Jobs for Alabama Graduates (JAG) students recently went to state competition and made their school and county proud by bringing home a first place trophy for the second year in a row. Congratulations to Roderick Graham, Kelsey McLaughlin, Karla Morales, and Kali Snell who took first place in Career Decision Making and will head to Nationals in St. Louis, Missouri April 18-20. JAG students who were not competing enjoyed workshops. Before the awards ceremony, Dee-1 came out and spoke to everyone. He is an excellent motivator and rapper. His logo to the kids was "3" Be Real, Be Righteous, Be Relevant. Thank you to Debbie Phillips who coordinates the JAG program for Central Coosa. Ms. Phillips stated, "I am very blessed to have all my JAG students. I am proud of each and every one of them." We look forward to following our students' progress at the national competition this spring. Go Cougars!
